We start from Ramzová from the mountain apartments Racek. There are more options where you can park your car for free.
From the Racek mountain apartments we follow the red trail towards the summit of Klín 983 m above sea level. The path leads gently uphill. It is wide enough, there is no exposed place. The biggest difficulty for the children was the icy conditions in places, but they rather enjoyed it and took it as fun for frolicking.
Right at the top of Klín, we turn left from the red hiking sign down the forest path. The path is again wide, comfortable, slightly snowy and leads with slight curves to the blue hiking marker just above Petříkov. The blue trail leads here from the top of Smrk 1 127 m above sea level. So we follow this blue trail for a while, where in winter there is a milled cross-country skiing trail. In about 10 minutes we arrive in Petříkov. Here I recommend a great restaurant Sport Grill.
In Petříkov and on the way out of the village we follow the red marker back to Ramzová.
It is a completely undemanding hiking in the mountain environment, which can be easily handled even in winter in the snow by small children (tested on seven-year-old children).
You don't need to take any water on this trip, as it is a short, maximum two-hour route that leads through Petříkov, where there are many refreshment options.
On the route we will climb only one peak Klín 983 m above sea level. There are no views from it because the whole peak is forested. There are views of the ski slope in Ramzová and Šerák in the Jeseníky Mountains only at the beginning of the trail at the Racek Apartments.
This trip in the Jeseníky Mountains is really very simple and technically easy. The only danger can be frost in winter, which can make mischief on steeper climbs.
Due to its short length, the trail doesn't require you to carry snacks or drinks with you. After about two kilometres from the start you will reach Petříkov, where there are many pubs and restaurants. I recommend the Sport Grill with its excellent cuisine.
